Here at Stamford Stone there is nothing we like more than to be able to offer our support, in any way we can, to the most worthwhile of causes and this year we have been proud to raise funds for Anna’s Hope – the leading children’s brain tumour charity in the East of England.
Between the months of June and August, we donated £1 to the charity for every square metre of stone flooring we sold. This resulted in a total donation of £788 by the time of the Anna’s Hope Ball, which was attended by our Managing Director Laura Green who is an active supporter of the charity.
Founded in 2006 in loving memory of Anna Olivier Hughes who tragically died aged just three years and eight months from a brain tumour, Anna’s Hope provides support and rehabilitation during and after treatment for children and young people similarly diagnosed with brain tumours.
Set up and run by Anna’s parents Rob and Carole, and her five godparents, the charity continues to do this life changing work for young people and helps them to fulfil their full potential with the assistance of donations and support from the community. It is a great delight for us at Stamford Stone to be able to help in our own small way and we will continue to support Anna’s Hope throughout 2015.
