We were delighted to supply Adam Frost Design with local limestone for his RHS Chelsea 2012 gold medal winning “Lands’ End: A Rural Muse” garden. Inspired by the local environment of Helpston near Stamford (especially the walks of the famous peasant poet John Clare, who lived in the village), the brief was to create a space taking inspiration from the six well-known local walks, taking in the very distinct and diverse countryside that inspired so much of Clare’s poetry. Clipsham limestone was used as decorative boulders, cropped limestone for garden walls, copings, and a central fire pit.
