Stonemason

We are looking for an experienced Stonemason to join our team at our production yard in Helpston, near Peterborough.


Your new role

As a Banker Stonemason, you will be working on a large range of projects with other stonemasons, sawyers and CNC operators to help complete the long-term work currently available. You may also be mentoring a trainee mason, improving their knowledge and skills.


About you:

  • Experienced Banker Stonemason, with proven previous experience, including proof of qualification and work completed.
  • Experience in fixing would also be an advantage
  • Ability to read technical drawings and production schedules for information
  • Must have your own tools
  • High levels of quality control
  • Must be organised, reliable and motivated.

You will need to have:

  • Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality
  • The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with the rest of your team and managers
  • Working hours are usually 7.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday, however, some flexibility may be required and extended hours may sometimes be necessary to meet deadlines
  • Own transport
  • Forklift licence an advantage.

Maintenance Engineer (Electrical)

We are looking for a full-time maintenance engineer with electrical bias (17th edition) to undertake scheduled and breakdown maintenance of plant and equipment at our stone production yard and quarries in the Stamford area.


Main Duties:

  • Undertake mechanical repairs as and when required
  • Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance
  • Responding to breakdowns
  • Diagnosing faults
  • Repairing equipment
  • Supervising engineering and technical staff
  • Obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
  • Creating maintenance procedures
  • Managing stocks of supplies and equipment
  • Keep accurate completion records.

About You:

  • A background in electrical / mechanical engineering is essential.

You will need to have:

  • Electrical Bias (17th edition) essential
  • Good knowledge of PLC systems
  • Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality
  • The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with your team and managers.
  • The role could be full or part time, though some flexibility may be required and extended hours may sometimes be necessary to meet deadlines.
