Saw operator
We are looking for a full-time Saw operator to join our team at our stonemasonry production site just outside Peterborough.
Main duties
- Unloading lorries of stone with forklift
- Loading stone onto stillages
- Putting stillages of stone into saws and programming them to cut walling / building stone
- Clearing up area with skid steer loading shovel & forward tipping dumper
- Checking pallet stock
- Manual labour / operating machinery
- Planning ahead and liaising with walling production Foreman to keep cropping line flowing each day meeting customers’ demands.
About you
A background in stone masonry or construction it is not necessary as full training will be provided.
- Experience working in production for a manufacturing company is an advantage, but not essential
- Forklift licence an advantage but not essential
- Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality
- The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with your team and managers
- We provide all PPE required for the role.
Working hours are usually 7.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday, however, some flexibility may be required and extended hours may sometimes be necessary to meet deadlines.
